I have already covered a few new phones in a week. Yes, the pixel, one plus and now the Zenfone. But one thing is most common of them that they all are challenging each other and dominating the market with their price and features.
But the Zenfone 6 is something different here. Let me tell you first what’s the difference?
The one plus 7pro is a massively overpowered smartphone with a bigger price tag, pixel 3A is best for photography with a low price tag but with mid-range hardware, but the Zenfone 6 is in between of Oneplus and Pixel.
The Asus Zenfone is much closer with one plus compare to the power and also it’s closer with the Pixel in the terms of price.
So let’s dig in and see what we getting on this phone.
The ASUS Zenfone 6 comes with a 6.4inch HDR10 display with the resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels with 19.5:9 ratio which is protected by gorilla glass 6.
Under the hood you are getting the industry standard flagship silicon Snapdragon 855 coupled with Adreno 640 GPU. The Zenfone 6 offers both 8/6Gb Ram options along with 128/256GB of onboard storage which can be expanded up to 1TB by Micro-SD via a dedicated slot.
On the camera side, you are getting a rotating camera, the ASUS has chosen a different approach to produce more space for the display. Like we saw in OPPO N1 model they have a flip camera but it was on top of screen so here Asus did a great job that instates of notch or dig a hole into the display or any motorize camera like One plus (which I really hate) they have decided to use the rear camera to take selfies but a make it possible to rotate (Motorized flip-up main camera module). The rear camera feature a 48 MP, f/1.8, 26mm (wide), 1/2″, 0.8µm, Laser/PDA + 13 MP, f/2.4, 11mm (ultrawide) which you can take for the full potential for taking great selfies.
Zenfone is known for its big batteries. The Zenfone 6 also comes with a 5000mah battery which is one of the biggest capacity on the phone industry. And it also comes with 18wat fast charging technology via USB-C and reverses charging. There is no IP rating on this device and also wireless charging is missing. Yes, but you will get a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Asus Zenfone 6 price starts at EUR 499 (roughly Rs. 39,100) for the 6GB + 64GB variant, while the to 6GB + 128GB version will retail at EUR 559 (roughly Rs. 43,800), and finally, the top-end 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at EUR 599 (roughly Rs. 47,000). It Is now available via the Asus eShop and will start shipping from May 25. There’s no mention for now about when it will arrive in India. Asus has revealed that the phone will be offered in two colors – Midnight Black and Twilight Silver.
In the end, I would definitely say that this phone is giving tough competition to OnePlus 7 pro and Pixel 3A in terms of specs and price.
