ODROID-C4 a Powerful PI’s Alternative with $5 less.

I have already some Raspberry Pi’s alternative in some previous articles. And today I will talk about another alternative which is much powerful than a PI 4 and also you can save $5

Today I’m going to talk about ODROID-C4 FROM HARDKERNEL a South Korea based manufacturer. They have some quite pretty SBC like ODROID-XU4 with Octa-core chips but also they are much expensive than the PI4.

But if you want an alternative of the PI4 you must check their new SBC which ODROID-C4 cost only $50 and much powerful than the Pi4. also, they are giving more discount you order this SBC on bulk, which you can see here.

So without wasting time, let’s see what else we get with the ODROID-C4.

The ODROID-C4 comes with a quad-core Cortex-A55 cluster and Mali-G31 GPU. Clocked at 2.0Ghz without thermal throttling using the stock heat sink allowing a robust and quiet computer.

The Quad-core CPU performance is around 40% faster on multitasking, and the system DRAM performance is 50% faster than the ODROID-C2.

The ODROID-C2 is too old now.

On the other hand, the GPU is also quite interesting. The Mali-G31 is Bifrost-based from Arm runs at 650MHz and is ~50% faster than Mali-450MP in ODROID-C2.

The ODROID-C4 also comes with faster DD0R4 RAM which runs on 1320Mhz and it is almost twice faster than the ODROID-C2.

Moreover, the other specification is on the board:-

The Odroid-C4 comes with four USB 3.0 ports, an RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet port, one HDMI 2.0 display port up to [email protected], a Micro USB 2.0 port, and a power jack.

The Odroid-C4 support up to 64GB eMMC storage and there are green and amber LEDs for indicating data traffic.

There’s also a 40-pin expansion header and a seven-pin audio expansion.
